Time with friends, supporting local businesses, and a table full of tasty food and drinks; sounds like a great time! To save you the hassle of figuring out which local restaurants serve great happy hours, we compiled some of our favorites to guide you through Ellensburg's lively bar and restaurant scene. These local spots have great options that will make choosing a good time with your friends easy! From tacos to calamari and White Claws to hand-crafted house cocktails, there is something for everyone.
Ellensburg Brewing and Tilted Tree Cidery
We love to see two local businesses come together for weekly events for Ellensburg. In this case, Ellensburg Brewing works with Blue Rock Saloon to celebrate Taco Tuesday every week. Stop by Ellensburg Brewing for tacos, flautas, tamales, elote, and drink specials every Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. They have rotating taco specials, so you can check out their Facebook before you go to find out what's in store for your visit or you can wait and be pleasantly surprised when you arrive. If you miss a Tuesday visit, you can also stop by on Wednesday for the weekly "bald discount" that offers up to 20% off your food or beverages.
An extension of Ellensburg Pasta Company, Bruce's Place is a favorite local pub with access to a full menu of delicious food! When you visit, you can order from the bar menu or from the Ellensburg Pasta Co. menu. Happy hour is 2-5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. During happy hour, beers are a dollar off, and if you are looking for more of a meal, they have a Burger and Brew Special available. For only $12.99 this special gets you your choice of burger and beer!
The Porch Steakhouse
Want to enjoy fine dining on a budget? The Porch's happy hour is the perfect opportunity for you and your friends to do so. With $1 off beers and $5 (or less!) glasses of wine or cocktails, you have plenty of options. A few of their top-selling cocktails include house-infused pineapple vodka, a house-infused apple bacon old fashioned, seasonal sangria, and more. If you want to share appetizers, they offer street tacos, calamari, shrimp-stuffed bacon-wrapped jalapenos, and more.
Happy hour is for cheaper drinks with friends! The Tav offers a selection of deals 3-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you're looking for $2.50 wells, $1 off micro and domestic beer pitchers, and 50' off domestic schooners and pounders, then this is your place.
With the goals of bringing a fresh look to dining and blow the minds of their customers, happy hour is a great time to try out The Pearl. 3-5 p.m. daily they have $3 off appetizers, $5 house wines, and $1 off beers and liquors. If this is too early for you or your friends, you can also check out their Power Hour from 9-10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. This menu has loaded tater tots or fries with many different combinations of toppings. To go with your taters, you can find the classics like Long Island iced teas or house specialties like the Subtle Reminder, a sparkling hibiscus, citrus, and ginger mule-inspired drink.
If you're looking for a nice restaurant with options that can be easily customized for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan dining, look no further. Happy hour at the bar is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 3-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. On top of $1 off drinks, you can also get $2 off some delicious appetizers. Enjoy a taste of some of their most popular small plates, including pork rinds, goat horn pepper and capicola, housemade smoked baba ganoush, and blistered green beans and spicy roasted carrots with tzatziki sauce.
Buzz Inn Steakhouse
Maybe you're interested in appetizers but not so much in drinks? Buzz Inn's happy hour brings tasty appetizers to the forefront. From 3-6 p.m. daily, in the bar only, all appetizers are half off. Sweet potato fries, coconut prawns, and shredded pork tacos are all included on their appetizer menu.
The Mule Cocktail Bar
If house cocktails and yummy appetizers are your go-to, then check out The Mule Cocktail Bar. Their happy hour is Tuesday through Saturday from 3-5 p.m. and you can always count on some great deals. The Maui is a rum, pineapple, and ginger drink that will make you feel like it's still summertime. Or, if the Maui or other cocktails aren't your thing, they also offer a Budweiser or Bud Light bottle and wells drinks for $3. For snacks, they offer some of our favorite classics like loaded fries, poutine, and sliders.
First and Last Chance Tavern
With many rotating weekly and daily specials, it can be hard to choose a day to visit the First and Last Chance Tavern. Their Facebook is always updated with new specials, so be sure to keep an eye out during your visit. If you just want to stop by, Thursdays from 5 p.m. to close are ladies' nights! During this happy hour, they offer $3 White Claws, $2.50 bottles and cans, and $12 bottles of Merlot.
