Café C5

Fresh Produce. Bold Taste. Unique Creations.

That is what you'll find in this Hidden Treasure. Introducing Café C5's Flumerfelt Mac & Cheese, aka, the grown up Mac & Cheese, and the 1890 Grilled Turkey. Craveable grub with love.

The Flumerfelt is the grown up version of Mac & Cheese thanks to the kick that the roasted poblano cheese sauce gives. Add Cajun shrimp or garlic chicken, and you've got a winner.

Pair it with the 1890 Grilled Turkey to celebrate April being National Grilled Cheese Month. Unlike all the other grilled cheese sandwiches out there, this one packs the cheesy goodness on the outside with parmesan grilled over the sourdough bread.

Is your mouth watering yet? Because ours sure is!

Learn more about Café C5 straight from the Chef, Devin Marshall:

In 2015 I moved my mobile personal chef business, Kittitas Chef into this small building on 5th avenue. I turned the small building into a commercial kitchen that would allow me to chef personalized entrees for several families at one time allowing me to chef for more people. This business was named Curbside on 5th.

Soon after opening we opened up to provide craveable grub to the late night bar scene in downtown Ellensburg. The limited menu had three options. You could Wrap it, Stack it or Mac it and then top it with either smoked chicken, Cajun shrimp or sauteed vegetables.

As word got out about us we received many requests to open for lunch. There were many people who could not make it to our hours of Thursday- Saturday 11pm-2am. In October we left our full time jobs and opened for lunch and dinner.

Soon after that we stopped serving the late night crowd and expanded our menu further with several lunch and dinner items including our very popular 1890 Grilled Turkey Sandwich and Hollywood Chicken Thai Salad.

Since that morning opening in October of 2015, we have not stopped growing. We have fulfilled the menu with daily specials and dessert, added patio seating and partnered with a delivery company.

On January 1st 2018 we updated our name. The abbreviation for Curbside on 5th was C5. We became Café C5. This new name is now the first step in our future expansion of opening a new location.

It was exciting for us to open when we did. I was happy to offer a new twist on a restaurant with Café C5. Since we opened there have been several others to follow with similar small-scale concepts. The bar has been raised. Now I love to see the beginning of what Ellensburg will be known for; an exciting stop to find an eclectic variety of amazing restaurants.
