JUNE 25-26, 2016
ELLENSBURG, WA RODEO ARENA
Calling all cowgirls & cowboys, do you have what it takes to saddle up & compete in Cowboy Traditions Ranch Roping's Summer Solstice event?
Click here to register! (deadline to register is June 15th)
The Summer Solstice roping is a fine family affair, and features more events than your typical ranch roping -- and admission is FREE!
This year, Saturday features Open roping (Slack) starting at 9:00 am, where two arenas full of three man teams compete in a yearling doctoring. The Top Teams come back for two rounds of Finals: two-man doctoring in Round 1, and an exciting calf branding with fresh cattle in Round 2.
Our evening events start off at 5:00 pm with a Fancy Loop demonstration, followed by our feature Stock Horse Competition and an exciting Muley Team Roping. If you've never seen this event you are in for a wild, fun time...especially if you are viewing it from the beer garden! Ellensburg's grandstand seating ensures you'll be able to see all the fast and furious action.
Sunday's schedule starts at 8:00 am with Intermediate Roping (Slack) on some real good Corriente roping steers. The Top Teams will come back at 10:30 am for a yearling doctoring in the Finals.
After lunch there will be a judges clinic for Novice ropers beginning at 12:30 pm, with Novice (slack) starting at 1:30 pm. Top Teams will come back around 3:45 pm for the Novice finals with fresh cattle.
